Texels lets fresh wind blow over its appearance
Oudeschild – 11 May 2021. A breath of fresh air is blowing through the Texel Beer Brewery. The island brewer's specialty beers are getting a completely new look. The same characteristic beer in a new jacket. From mid-May the beers will be flowing everywhere with a new logo and a new label.
Recognizable and fresh
The Texelse Bierbrouwerij has been proudly brewing its beers since 1999. For years, Texels specialty beer has been recognized by the red shield, with white letters and the lighthouse. These important landmarks have been retained in the new look. The brewery now has 12 different beers, each with its own color. A recognizable, fresh and contemporary look, matching the Texels brand. Evolution
The Texelse Bierbrouwerij did not act overnight: more than a year ago, the brewer started research: who are we, how do consumers see Texel and does our brand identity still fit in with that. During the development of the new logo, Texels consciously opted for an evolution instead of a revolution. Laurens Pot (marketing manager) “Not only will our packaging have a new look, our communication will also be different. We are proud islanders and we brew beer our way: full of flavour, quirky and yet very accessible.” The new look will be rolled out from week 20 and will be visible in the catering industry, in supermarkets and at off-licences.
Introduction
The most successful beer of the Texelse Beer Brewery is of course Texels Skuumkoppe. Texels Skuumkoppe is a top-fermented dark wheat beer, brewed from natural ingredients, including Texelse barley. This specialty beer, which takes its name from the white cups on the waves of the sea, is full and rich in taste. Texels Skuumkoppe is a beer that suits every season. From week 20, Texels Skuumkoppe will also be available in 33cl cans in the new look in restaurants, supermarkets and off-licences.
The Texel feeling
The island of Texel is important for the beer brewer. Nature, the down-to-earth no-nonsense attitude, enjoying together and everything in its own way. Just like with the Texelse Bierbrouwerij and this specialty beer brewer is proud of that. The Texel Bierbrouwerij grants everyone this feeling and experience, including on the mainland, and you can taste it in its specialty beers.
Note for editors
In the middle of the island, on the edge of the De Hoge Berg nature reserve, there it is, our brewery. The place where we have been brewing our specialty beers for many years. Traditional, from natural ingredients, such as Texelse barley. That real, that authentic, that makes people say: 'Yes, this is Texels.' Twelve delicious specialty beers, praised for their full, creamy taste and praised for their soft, fresh aftertaste. Specialty beer as pure as the island itself!
